Song Writers Wanted

Hey Villagers....I will be moving to your neighborhood at the end of October and would love to arrange some kind of songwriting group. I play guitar and have written many original melodies and need some poetic souls to write lyrics. I am also thinking about an original musical about aging...."Men Of Pause" or the like.....please let me know if there is any interest....thanks, LON.

i would be interested in trying to write lyrics and also ideas for the musical...you will find hundreds of very talented people here to join you. visit the various acting and directing groups you will see in the Rec News and send your idea to the poetry clubs....fun!

I would like to give it a go. Would you send me an mp3 of just one of your tunes? I'll see if I can come up with the lyrics. I was in charge of set design, sound and lighting and stage crew in a high school for 36 years. I'll enjoy trying.

Sounds like fun. I have written a couple of songs about aging, One I think is pretty good. I am good with lyrics, not as good with the music. I play guitar and sing some. I fronted a bar band back home.

Sounds good. I will be down in Jan and would love to get together. I sing and play guitar and am involved in several projects up in the CT area gigging regularly. Would like to move deeper in the writing area and understand more about how things come together. Let me know if you folks are getting together at some point.

I think it would be interesting to rewrite "We Didn't Start the Fire" with updated subject matter. A lot has happened since 1989.
