All my life I have vacuumed, then dusted
Because vacuuming kicks up dust
Some people dust first because the dust falls to the floor, thus needing to be vacuumed
Just wondering what others do

I had a cleaning business for many years. My employee's always vacuumed last. If you vacuum first there will be footprints every where after dusting. My customers liked to see freshly vacuumed carpet with no footprints, and I like the same in my house.

Dust, then vac. Floors are always done last. A good vac sucks up the dust, not stirs it up.

And dust from high to low. High dusting is always done before low dusting.

Get a Roomba, set it to vacuum everyday and then you can dust whenever :)

Dust then vacuum. If I vacuum first then dust, I will have footprints all over the carpet. LOL:icon_wink:

Those unsightly footprints on the carpet can be avoided entirely by simply levitating rather than walking on the floor. My wife and I argued for years about which should be done first and levitation has solved that problem. It's also a skill that is especially impressive around Halloween.

Do you have a Roomba, and if so, how do you like it?

I'm looking forward to a time when we can buy a robot to clean our house from top to bottom.

Picture it. You doing the Rumba watching your Roomba!

My girlfriend had one and she said it worked well until she got a Germany Sheppard. Not good with dog hair.
