Does anyone have information where someone is accepting old phone books for recycling.

There was a notice in the paper asking them to be held until the school has recycling days. I belive it said October 25 and 27.

Why don't you just put them in your recycling bag on recycling pickup day?
Unfortunately, I have already seen 4 or 5 phonebooks at the mail station.

I have never been in a place where there are so many phone books distributed. Marion County, Sumter County, Lake County, The Villages, others and for the most part we use the Internet to get phone numbers. The amount of trees dedicated to phone books must be the reason we see trucks full of cut trees leaving the Ocala National Forest. Wouldn't it be cheaper to drop a card asking if you wanted a new phone book.

The first thing everyone should do, is to opt out of receiving them in the first place. There are 7 phone books that get delivered in addition to The Villages phone book.
Use this link to opt out of those phone books that you know you don't want. It only takes two minutes.

I was hoping someone would post this link. I used it an opted out of all phone books except for the Villages phone book and that is all that I received this year which is great for us.
