They don't come cheap no matter who you get. Cost will very on quality of product, whether you want a surround or sill edge and of course the size of the window. Even though you may have to wait awhile I recommend Blinds plus Shutters. The owner lives in the villages, will give you a 20% discount, and professional installation.

We had all our window treatments done by a young man by the name of Guy Murray Depending upon the window, we put up blinds and plantation shutters. Guy does beautiful work and has many different kinds of window treatments from which to choose. He prices are the best because he does not have the overhead of a shop.

His work is excellent, his products are excellent and he happens to be a real nice "guy!"

Upgraded the whole house. In addition to the shutters we had...wood floors...granite counter tops in kitchen and both baths....all new stainless steel appliances...popcorn ceiling replaced with knock down finish...all new paint....crown molding....five inch baseboards.

The plantation shutters were the highest cost of all the above, but we love them.

Used 48 hour blinds. Had no problems.

We used 48 Hour Blinds. $275/single window. If you are serious about getting plantation shutters, you should get them before the Seasonal people arrive. Once they're here vendors are very busy and since these are custom made there is a long turnaround time.

Also used Blinds Plus Shutters. Beautiful surround around shutters plus a window sill. They are beautiful. Makes your Windows look like they have molding and window sills. Why the villages builds houses without molding and sills around your Windows is beyond me. These are high quality Norman Shutters (brand).

Had whole house done for $2400, used the company next to Bargain and Treasures on 466. The name escapes me at this moment. Great to work with and everything was done just as they said. Received estimates from other companies that have been mentioned on TOTV, but this company had a better price and I like their product. Most of all I liked their personnel and attitude.
