I saw it too. Saw the gang gather at the clock and wave. Saw them go in, and saw them freeze. The camera did hesitate at times but we could still see some standing still and others moving. Wish we could have seen the faces! Good job!!!!!

Oh, Dear!! I forgot. I got on too late and saw some people waving but couldn't make anything out, so got bored, as usual, and went back to searching for a new home.
BTW, Kid, what the heck is that picture in your avatar? Very strange, to say the least.
Sorry topic cop :cop: , couldn't resist.

We saw it intermittently. We did see everyone gather and wave around 5:25. I think I saw Tom of Susan&Tom wearing a Burgundy tee with tan shorts. At least I saw someone dressed like that and he was waving also. I saw a lady in a long white dress, maybe time for tee. It really must have been a ball. I would have loved to see the reactions of all those sitting there. It was great watching everyone peel off at 5:29 and take up positions. Well planned from the web cam'ers end. Thanks to all for a great show

Johnny, it was me in the white dress. The funniest part of the freeze (for me) was when my husband came up after about two and 1/2 minutes of the freeze and planted one on me. I had a hard time not laughing. Beady and I were frozen in a high five. People started laughing when he kissed me...thinking he was a stranger. It (the freeze) 1rnflseemed to weird the band out.
She started singing about our frozen positions and wondering when we would move. It was really funny. At least, we thought so, but what do we know? It might not take much to entertain us. 1rnfl 040 :clap2:

Did you see me in my bright red skirt and a black tee, Johnny? I was standing in front and waving as hard as I could!

:#1: Well Done Fellow Freezers! I could see the audience and some were completely freaked out, calling people off the street to come and see. And yes, the band was too. Really came off well. Sorry you guys watching couldn't get the full effect. Vetman and I had a blast! Thanks for the planning Susan, Bright and Red. It was great fun. And all of you watching have to be here next year to participate.

I set the alarm on my cell phone and saw it all
Previous to the event I called my friends in TV and told them to be at LSL for an unexpected event at 5:30. They loved it and applauded you folks and thought it was very clever. Who was the couple who held the 5 minute kiss? or was that the 2.5 minute one Samhass got??
In any event, congrats on a great job. I hope TOTV gets some publicity out of this

It was so much fun!!! I had my laptop and was going to just sit staring at the webcam shot because of my inability to keep a straight face...but the webcam pic was frozen......like a still, so I just walked out towards the band and saw everyone freezing, so I froze mid stride, (I had to put my right heel down after about 20 seconds, or I was going to fall down and go boom!) I had a great view of fellow freezers and the background crowd all laughing .....it was so hard not to laugh! And the band singing funny little snippits about us!! What a great time it was!! I want to see some pictures or video........ok?? TOTV FREEZERS-WE ROCKED! TOTV peeps watching..thanks for the moral support!

The smoochers were Sailor and Sailor's Wife. It really was a great time.
I stood way back holding a book, so had a great view of the dance area and the band. Before the band started commenting, they were whispering amongst themselves things like, "What are they doing?" "Why aren't they dancing?" "Is there something wrong with sound?" with shrugs from the others. Then they started changing lyrics asking people to dance, move, do something. It was hysterical.
I had two women come up and ask me if the chairs in front of me were taken. When I didn't answer the first time, one of them raised her voice. By the fourth time, they were so angry they were literally spitting. So, they plunked themselves into the chairs, saw the freezers on the dance floor, looked back at me, looked at the dance floor, looked at me, pointed and started laughing. It was hysterical!
Handie, Tom (of Susan&Tom) met one of your friends in line to get a drink. He was telling Tom that he was told he needed to be there at 5:30, saw the freeze, figured that had to be the thing to see and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The band did ask us what group we were and we gave full credit to TOTV.
All in all, it was a wonderful time with some wonderful people. Can't wait til people download things.
I got to see it too! Was so much fun seeing everyone in front of the clock waving! It was kind of hard to see the actual freeze, but I think I did see some "freezer" among the crowd. Thanks for the wonderful idea, Susan! Can't wait to see the video!! We want to be in the next one!

Hey Bright, I saw so many waving as hard as you could. Really had a problem with the cam as it would freeze every two or three seconds. I'm in NJ so maybe it was a bigger problem for me, us rather as Barbara was right at my side. Sam stood out with the white dress. It really was fun to watch and we were so proud of you all. We can't wait to be a part of the next one. Thanks Bright, Susan and Red for such a great effort

Mr Samhass and I just took the T-bird down to cruise the square and try to grab a cone from Ambrosia. It was packed and there was no place to park but we saw Susan, Tom, Barefoot and Rick still visiting.
We had a "silent" TOTV'r show up for the freeze. B, it was a pleasure meeting you. You and your wife should meet us all at Crispers for the monthly meeting.
None of our administrators showed up. Do we embarrass you guys?? Hey, we're normal except when we aren't. 8)

I watched from Utah, and y'all did a great job! I pulled up the webcam about 3:00 just to make sure everything would work, and I left it on through the whole freeze. About 3:29 the webcam started freezing up, so I wasn't sure if it was the webcam or if EVERYBODY was freezing. LOL It must have been caused by the thousands of folks watching and wishing they could be there with you! I saw folks waving at me! Yay! Waving back! wav
Great job freezers! :#1:

No Handi, he didn't kiss me for 2 1/2 minutes. He kissed me after 2 1/2 minutes. He just walked by (as others did) looked at me, kissed me, and moved on. As I said, the crowd was not aware that he was my husband. I had been sitting with the other instigators and he was sitting over on the platform. I struggled to keep from laughing. It was so much fun.

Red, this was so hysterical, I am still laughing out loud.. I can just imagine how funny it must've been in person. Wish I was there. Just thinking about what these women were thinking at the time when you weren't answering them, and I'm dying laughing.
Good job all you guys, even if I had been watching on the cam, don't think I could fully appreciate what it was like in person.

Just want everyone to know who were unable to make the First Annual Freeze Event that prior to the Freeze when we were in JR's we toasted all of you and wished you could have been with us physically. We knew that you were with us in Spirit.
Yes, we all had fun and the audience reaction was first one of "What is going on here." to smiling, applauding and trying to make some of us move. I was able to see about 1/4 of the audience from where I was standing.
Strangers took pictures of us wondering what was going on, other just shook their heads and continued walking.
The band was totally confused and did not know what was going on. They incorporated what they saw into their song, finally they caught on about the freeze. Then they sang about the freeze.
Sidney Lanier suggested that next year we make this into a Fund Raising Event. He has my vote.
We had a lot of fun, you in TOTV land had fun watching us, and those who saw us also had a good laugh.
I guess you could say we are all a lot healthier - "Laughter is the Best Medicine."
Thank you everybody for a fun filled afternoon.
You are all the best.

I put it under a new thread in The Freeze Forum. I'll also post the pre-pics there as soon as I get them downloaded and another pre-freeze video.

Chels and Nonie... ;D...I'll let you know when my cards are done (snicker, snicker).
Bruce (I think this is his name), was our surprise freezer. He's been a reader but never posted yet showed up to join us! What a nice man and I hope he decides to begin posting.

There weren't that many 'freezers' and it would have been more ideal to have had more, but there were enough to make an effect on people in the audience and particularly the public band figures who were caught completely off guard. From a frozen position it was hard to see too much, but the funniest thing is (as best as I could) watch the different reactions from non-participants varying from almost pretending not to notice to those who happened to have cameras with them who went about taking pics of all of us. Still think we should do this again with the goal of fundraising for a charity....
