Our new discussion group, called PRESERVE OUR ENVIRONMENT (POE) has invited a certified utility arborist to give a presentation on Monday, Nov. 3, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at Villages Pinellas Plaza Library, room 102, 7375 Powell Road, Wildwood, Fl. There is no fee for this program. You can bring along questions to ask the guest speaker.......who just happens to be the PRESIDENT of Florida Urban Forestry Council! Gather up your landscaping enthusiasts. Come join us for a very informative program. See you Nov. 3rd!

Does this club promote mostly rock lawns with shrubs? Do they feel that all of the grass lawns using pesticides and needing watering are harmful to the environment and would they encourage people to not have grass lawns?

To which we would answer, "* offer educational opportunities on a variety of topics relating to recycling, sustainability, and the environment; * involve citizens, academia, business, and government in programs; and * provide networking opportunities for brainstorming and collaboration on actions".
