Okay, some good info regarding casual golf groups has surfaced lately. I have two more related questions...

I know all us old fogies are supposed to love teeing off with the sunrise :icon_wink:, but I don't always feel that way. Are there any regular groups that head out in the later waves? Even after noon?

And...are there any championship course groups that play only nine holes?

I know a women's foursome that does this - I sub sometimes. Would suggest you make a tee time on your own a few times for 9 holes (I think it's after 1 pm in season) and make friends and possible golf companions - bring a supply of your cards and maybe ask others if you like them and seem compatible.

Probably easier to start a new group than find your way into an existing one. But maybe ask your neighbors as well.

Whoops, I didn't realize us old fogies are supposed to love early morning golf.
I am not a morning person :mornincoffee: and never will be.
We always golf in the afternoon. There are lots of groups out there playing.
I think afternoon tee times are easier to book.

Heck it takes me about 3 cups of coffee before I can start forming words!

I do know that last year as the weather got cooler it was harder to book the afternoon which (obviously) is warmer.

As you can see I am up before the butt crack of dawn. Just because. But I am not a morning person. If you want to have a meaningful conversation see me at 10am. Other half is at the course at 6am

They are during the summer, but you will find that within a week or two, the easiest time to get will be from 7:30 to 9:30.

What exactly is morning? Does it start at 10:00 or Noon?:loco: As the weather gets cooler, the afternoons are better.
