If you notice between the Sweetbay parking lot and the cottages (Entrance road from Morse Blvd to LSL), there is a sizeable space to build something. Anyone have any idea as what is being planned.....is it zoned for commercial or professional development?

With the mobile post office being located on a temporary basis in the Sweetbay parking lot, Could the Post Office be considering this land for a permanent structure?? Certainly would be a central location!!

Would love to see a post office near Sweet Bay. It certainly would make a big difference around here. Wouldn't have to go all the way to 301.

Being somewhat familiar with the workings of the USPD, I wouldn't hold my breath until a decision is made about a post office in TV.

I went to the Oxford Post Office on 301 today. There is a sign on the door that there is now a Mobile Postal Unit at Sweet Bay in TV.

Do you suppose that might be a test to see if an actual post office is necessary in TV....maybe that petition worked and someone was listening.

Bottom line make sure you frequent the mobile unit ...the higher the numbers the better the chances we have to get a Village PO.

It's been there since tax season and is open on a part-time basis for now. If SweetBay doesn't get busier, who knows, it may be willing to sell some of its land for a P.O. and share the parking lot. Really doesn't seem as if SweetBay is ever all that busy compared to Publix on 466.

I needed to go to the Post Office today and wish I had known there was a mobile unit at Sweetbay. It was after I had already mailed a package in Lady Lake that I stopped at Sweetbay and saw it. I was surprised to find about 6 people in line waiting for postal service...more than at the post office I had just left.

However, the postal worker in the mobile unit wasn't singing and joking around like the fella at the Lady Lake office. He put a smile on my face and made my day!

When you say Lady Lake, brightspot01 do you mean the one on the Historic Side? I seldom go there but when I do I find the personnel very friendly.

It was the Post Office just east of Town Hall off 441...just around the corner from the police station.
