Never exactly clocked it, but I'd bet 15-20 minutes by golf cart.

Better look at what route to take. I bet it's a lot farther than that if you walk El Camino to Buena Vista then down to LSL. Depends on what kind of walk you're up to.

We live just off Rio Grande. Using the cart path it takes us 5 minutes by cart to SS -- just about a mile. Depending on the light at Morse and Rio Grande, it usually takes us 10 minutes by cart to LSL -- just about 2 miles. And next time we are there I want to explore ways we might avoid the Morse / Rio Grande light. I'm not sure where the 4.69 mile figure came from.

I did a mapquest from Bravo Pizza at LSL to Margarita Republic in SS and it come out to something like 3.1 miles
4.69 seems a bit far to me.
Morse to Rio Grande to Del Mar to SS would be fastest route. Mapquest went Morse to Paige place to Main St.

WE drove that route last night for the FIRST time, (we are in the villages this week for our first fact finding trip.) It is very interesting, because if you go from Sumpter to Spanish Springs on Morse Blvd, the trees and vegetation get bigger, being that the southern areas are newer.
I am just overwhelmed! So much to absorb.
All JUST wonderful.

Graciegirl,
Your so right it is just wonderful. An environment to please everyone. We personally love the more mature trees and greener areas so we bought on the historic side. Fortunately we are still capable of caring for all the vegetation so it is not a problem. For those who dont want all the care and upkeep of the larger trees etc. you can head South and I understand that there are even areas with absolutely no grass at all to care for.
Just one more thing to Love about TV, a home to suit every need.
Enjoy your visit! ;D

Thought of this thread today while in SS. I set the trip thingie (sorry to get too technical) to 0. From the front of the sales office on the square, I drove down Delmar to Rio Grande to Morse to Lake Sumter Landing Drive. Went straight to the square to the front of that sales office. 4.3 miles.
An aside -- a little after 6:00 I switched over to WVLG. It was in the middle of a rendition of an old Turtles song, Happy Together. I couldn't imagine what good old Rob was playing but it sounded like Karaoke Night at the Florida Home for the Bewildered. Turns out it was the group entertaining at LSL. I caught a few more songs that were definitely an improvement, but I sure hope those guys sounded better in person.
