We are interested in having gutters installed on our new Designer style home in the Village of Collier. We wanted to ask those that have had them installed, did you purchase gutters with gutter guards or gutter helmets or just the standard gutter assembly? If you purchased the standard gutters, do you wish that you had the gutter guards added during the original installation?
We are in a new neighborhood, without mature trees, so we don't expect to initially have a lot of leaves and debris, but we also want to plan for the long term.
We appreciate your input and any advice on this subject.

Just standard gutters which keep the rain from rolling off the roof and making grooves in the grass and splashing in the Lanai.

If you have a steep, large roof, get the larger gutter with large downspouts. Otherwise the rain will run over the top of the gutters.

Standard gutters are fine as long as you don't have trees near that will drop their leaves. I am going to close on a house in TV and currently live in a house surrounded by trees. I have tried various type of products to keep the leaves out, to no avail. I looked at gutter helmets once, but they were extremly expensive. A ladder and a scoop designed for narrow gutters works in areas with trees nearby or overhanging.

Who did you all buy your gutters from? Recommended?

Great inexpensive investment to put on gutters so rain does not splash all over the place. Should run you about $500 on a designer.
Talk to Jim Stipes at Stipes Seamless 352-390-7744. He comes highly recommended on this site and did mine - pleased. Don't forget to run any front downspouts under the driveway or walkway with pop up drains in the yard so that you don't get iron stains - Stipes can do this as well.
