No, but thanks for your thoughtfulness. The thread I am looking for had more information on the Panasonic phone.

My landline phones are Panasonic. They are several years old but I have no complaints.

Great, you can probably give me the information I need. Can you scroll back through your old incoming calls to see who called and their number?

My last phone was just that, a phone, it rang, we answered or not, but we were able to look back through the memory for about a day to see who had called and retrieve their number. It gave up and we replaced it with a high tech, all the bells and whistles, but you cannot scroll back through the calls.

I am looking at a new Panasonic which has a great feature - you can block calls you don't want, which would be great, but I cannot see whether you can scroll back.

Would appreciate your input.

I bought an AT&T phone that has the scroll back feature and plenty of other great options. Volume adjustment, speaker phone, large # dial pad, redial, etc.

I looked at the Panasonic phone and had them in the past but the AT& T was $25 cheaper. It works great and no problems with it.

I recently bought a Panasonic landline phone system. It has two extra handsets plus the handset in the base station. You can block 250 unwanted numbers easily (and it works great), you can scroll back easily to see who called and when they called, and you can store about 85 numbers in the phone directory.

The phone runs on AAA rechargable batteries which are included and they recharge when the phone is put back into the base holder.

I got mine at Target for $69. I really like it.

Thanks, Sandtrap, just what I was looking for.

THANKS to ALL who helped with my request, appreciate it.

Yes, I can scroll back to see who and what number called and when whether they left a message or not. I do so upon returning home.

One set verbally announces who/what number is calling. The other does not. An older model had a light which blinked on and off when I had a voicemail. My newer models do not have that light. I thought that was a great feature.

What I really like is that the phones have volume controls on both to the ear and speaker options. My hearing is not so good anymore so that feature is important to me.

Sounds better and better - I just love the idea of "blocking" these damned people who call just as we are sitting down to supper. I just went out to check out both the Panasonic and the AT&T, much the same, and am somewhat confused by the fact that the Panasonic is not plugged into the wall, but use batteries for their power. Any comments on just having battery powered? Are they reliable?

We have Panasonic brand wireless landline phone system. It has the capability to save all of the received phone call numbers for several days, not sure if the limit is time or number of calls, but presently there are over 14 calls received over several days. Does NOT have call blocking, but Comcast provides that. This system has a base unit for messages, and 4 remote units for a total of 5 handsets. I think we bought this at Target 3-4 years ago.

All cordless phones have batteries to power all the handsets. The "stands" for the cordless handsets all plug into the wall sockets in order to provide power to recharge the AAA batteries in the handsets.

It does not matter which brand you buy - all the "stands" for all the handsets plug into the wall to recharge the batteries in the handsets in between use.

Feel free to PM me and come over to take a look at my Panasonic system.

Thanks for your kind offer. But, now I get it. There were no cords showing on the outside of the boxes, but much was made of the batteries. I feel kind of dumb and just a bit stupid right now .....................
