Does anyone have them? Do you like them...pros and cons? Any suggested contractors? Thanks for any input.

I've seen pictures and think they are very pretty. I'll be interested in knowing this as well.

I had plantation shutters installed on two of my sliders in a courtyard villa home and one set of shutters on my sliders in a patio villa that I owned. While they are beautiful they definitely are dust collectors and need cleaning on a regular basis to stay beautiful. I decided should I ever move I would remove the sliders and have French doors installed with interior blinds. I ordered them from Lowe's and on November 7 they are being installed. French doors are not as expensive as one might think. I like the look of French doors and the upkeep, I think are not as time consuming. Both choices are great. The contractor I used for the plantation shutters was Exception Blinds and Shutters. Good luck on whatever you choose.

I also had Plantation shutters on my patio doors, yes they are nice to look at . They do cut back on the light coming in to the room . Would I have them again on the patio door, No.
