We are looking to put a stereo in our cart.... overhead and good sound. It really only needs to be a radio with good enough reception that it gets the A.M. stations as well. We had one installed last week and it comes out tomorrow. it is awful. Less than 10 stations and no A.M. to the tune of $350.
We have a par car and are looking for experienced folks who are happy with their sound system. The rec for this one came from par car.
Thanks, y'all.

That's a real shame to have to pay that much for what sounds like a poor product, installation or both.

My neighbor had one installed by Best Buy. He paid about $650 but it has everything, AM/FM/XM/CD and you can hear it a block away if he has it turned up. He mostly listens to XM radio which is a paid service. I have XM in my car and it's really nice with so many choices and no commercials.

What we did was buy two reasonable priced speakers from Best Buy and used our Samsung Gallery 5 phone to connect to Pandora and now we can hear anything we want. It was cheap and turned out great. Good luck in your search!

Highly recommended Blue Tooth speaker that you can use with your smart phone or an iPod. I think there are AM radio apps for your phone. Long battery life... Great sound. Best of all it is under $60. I own one and I am buying a second one. Sharkk BT Speaker at Amazon.

I purchased our radio, speakers, ribbon type antennae from Amazon and build out a wooden boxes for the radio and speakers and added the Sirius I previously used in my service truck for ours.

We bought a pack of 2 blue tooth (Juice) speakers because we have two carts. They easily fit in one of the cup holders. We had a 12 volt port(?) installed on our carts. I can plug in my speaker to charge and my phone, too. Sound is fine. Two cost us about $30. Got them at BJ's Warehouse. Costco and Sam's probably have them, as well as Walmart.

I too bought a nice great sounding Bluetooth speaker ($150) and use my smart phone. All the music you could want and no static. Take it from cart to cart.
