I have noticed many people commenting on cell phone coverage in The Villages. Some have Verizon.... ATT.....T-Mobile....etc.

My question is this, where are the cell phone towers in TV? Are they located on just the water towers or some place else?

Thanks

Thank you for the link..... I ran my address through the search tool and it came back with zero locations. My guess is the addresses are so new in my area or the cell towers are not near by.

Do we have any near Morse Blvd and 466a (Colony Plaza area)

Thanks for your help.

One of the carriers just installed a new tower on Micro Raceway road about 1/2 mile north of 466a, I think this is Verizon as we have Verizon and this was a dead spot and we now get signal. Also traveling North on the same road just before Lake Ella drive there is another cell tower in the distance.

Here is another website. Still seems strange that they are further from The Villages proper than one would have expected.Lady Lake, FL Cell Towers, Signal Map & Lease Rates | CellReception (http://www.cellreception.com/towers/towers.php?filter_tmobile=1&city=lady+lake&state_abr=fl)

Don't have specifics on any of the towers in this area but most towers are owned by a third party and then they lease space on the towers to multiple carriers. Some companies do own some towers but the vast majority are owned by companies like Crown Communications. The local carriers provide copper or fiber facilities to the towers in their areas depending on the expected capacity needed. The theft of copper grounds and hardware is a major problem at these towers.

Wireless Estimator - List of major tower owners in US (http://www.wirelessestimator.com/t_content.cfm?pagename=US-Cell-Tower-Companies-Complete-List)

Managed towers, DAS structures and rooftops are not included. Totals do not include towers owned in other countries. Those tower counts are listed below. In some cases the tower company might not own the structure, but has lease rights and the ability to buy the tower after a set period of time. Crown Castle Inernational's tower count includes AT&T's towers expected to close in Q4 2013.
TOTAL COMPANIES: 87 - TOTAL TOWERS: 101,763 - Updated: 1/23/2014
