What a gesture on his part to pay for one. Incredibly sad.

Last week at 7:30 in the morning, we are all in our golf carts waiting for the scramble to start when some guy lights up a cigar. It just stunk! Why do cigar smokers feel like everyone else will enjoy their stench. Sorry this is off topic, but it kind of goes to the feeling of privilege that a few of these guys have.

Actually he had taken several which he had concealed in his blue basketball shorts according to the newspaper's report. Those 'gars ran $7.00 each. At age 63 he should know better! He is a stinker in more ways than one!

Good followup and action on the clerk.
...
I wish the wine section was completely separate from the cigar section in Garvinos. You can smell the cigars in the wine section.
Some people like this aroma ... which is fine.
I don't like the cigar aroma .. so I won't be returning.

I read that he took 10 cigars and offered to pay for one after being caught. A few nights in the hoosegow and a $1,000.00 fine would change him. Stiff penalties work. Wonder why he thought he was entitled to someone else's property without paying for it?

and of course we all know he never took any before he was caught.....right?

That is not what most think Sorry this is off topic, but it kind of goes to the feeling of privilege that a few of these guys have it is not a feeling of priviledge any more than the cigarette smokers that do like wise since it is legal to do so.

Being a cigar smoker for many years I can tell you that most are usually very much aware of smoking in close quarters which outdoors in not....but still being aware of wind direction/etc.

Love the smell of a cigar at sunrise.

Love the smell of a cigar at sunset.

Cigarette smoke and cigar smoke makes me sick to my stomach when exposed to it, in a short period of time. Probably from having my father smoke in the car, and refusing to open the window a crack.

I wouldn't want to deny someone the pleasure of smoking a cigar but please do it, when no one else is bothered by the smoke and or aroma.

How sad. :(

I would have died of shame but that's why, I would never do, this sort of thing.

Shame, shame shame on him!!!!!
