I am so excited that I can hardly contain myself. The very first organized Talk of The Villages trip. We are very close to putting the finishing touches on a five day, four night expedition to the Bahamas on the beautiful Sovereign of The Seas. The dates will be Monday, September 22nd thru Friday September 26th. Round trip transportation on Luxury Motor Coach to and from Port Canaveral will be included in the price. We are working very hard to keep the price under $500 per person for ocean view cabins. Inside cabins will be less and suites will be proportionately more. We will leave the Villages on Monday morning and return midday Friday.

As a special incentive for those who travel with us on this first TOTV expedition, we have arranged for a $50 ship board credit for each cabin. It may be used for anything that you wish, including alcohol.

We hope to have about 50 people for the trip. The price is all inclusive. (Port Tax and fuel sir charge included) The price does not include tips, alcohol, beverages, shore excursions or incidental expenses while on board or ashore.

We will have complete details by mid week, but please plan to join us on this exciting TOTV adventure. Once we have all interested TOTV members signed up, we may open it to friends and neighbors, if there is any space. We expect this to fill very quickly. My wife and I have sailed on this ship four times and it is loads of fun.

It will be first come, first served. Don't be disappointed. My wife Amity and I will be your hosts for this wonderful event.

This is not an offer for sale, it is an annoucement of incomplete plans for an upcoming sales offering. Details of the sales offering may differ slightly and will include a complete list of costs and inclusions.

STAY TUNED.

Wow that sounds wonderful. We already have a cruise booked for Thanksgiving, but hey, one can never have too many cruises. Plus the price looks good and we are retired, so why not! Please keep us posted. (no pun intended!)

I don't think that is a problem. I'll check, but I am sure we can work it out.

I posted this earlier today and it disappeared. We were on a New Years cruise on the Sovereign of the Seas and were told it was the last cruise for the ship. It was to be taken out of service and refurbished/restored and placed into a fleet belonging to a subsidiary of Royal Carribean. Sovereign is, we were told the first, thus the oldest of the mega ships at 20 years old. As I said earlier, no big deal, I was just wondering if they changed their plans.

Sovereign of the Seas will be cruising on this itinerary until late fall. We were on this ship last month and it is a fine ship. It was, at one time, the flagship of the fleet. After this fall, it is going to be moved to Europe following a complete renovation. It is probably one of the most popular ships of the RCCL fleet, and it is full every time it sails.

I am terrified of the open ocean so I probably could not do a cruise. I get really antsy when I lose sight of land. :( I have some stupid idea that I could swim to shore if I can still see the coastline.

Tal..That is how I feel, but John just thinks he is trapped if there is a fire, that is his main concern..

I too get nervous if I loose sight of land..

Guess a cruise is not for us???

Talk Host, My wife corrected me as usual and told me that we were told that this was the last season before renovation. I'll fall on the sword and claim age related dementia.
