This is our 2nd try at Direct-TV hook-up...1st attempt, rude phone call, this one, better, BUT, we were told tech would arrive between 12:00 and 4:00, so cancelled existing appt. with dr. at 11:00....Around 2:15 get a call from tech, "Will be there in 15 minutes, nothing, 4:15, call from home office, "tech will be there in 40 minutes", Yea right!, rescheduled for Thursday.. Problem with 4 hour window in afternoon, if they arrive at 4:00 you are looking for a long long day with Direct b4 installation is complete!..
Contacted floor supervisor, they are going to give a $100 credit and request 1st appt, won't guarantee but will request.... So here we go again... What is with these cable companies. This reminds me of Seinfeld when Cramer was playing "catch me if you can" with the cable guy... Maybe we should try that!:boxing2: Now if this installation is complete I will have to look for a internet company soooo I can give Comcast the boot!!!!!

It is really sad how these companies take advantage of their customers!
And what companies are your choices for internet? Comcast?

I am surprised at the problems you are having with the Direct TV schedule. We went from Comcast to Direct TV about 2 months ago and could not be happier with their responses. In the last couple of months we have called them a couple of times and in each cast they responded on time and did all they could to make sure we were happy. We always called Direct TV at (352)553-4921 and spoke to Deborah. Also Alan is one of their tech's and he has been terirific.:clap2:
