I have a Mac book air.How many hours have we all spent on stuff like this? Sorry, I do not have the answer but I've been there. Sometimes it works with no explanation and sometimes I simply give up. Don't think I've ever "solved" this situation except maybe taking the computer "back to an earlier time".. that works sometimes...Flash Player and Java are pains ....:cus:

Why can't it be done with Safari?

Isn't Safari the preferred when using Mac?

I use both Safari and Chrome on my Mac Book Air. Something just work better on Chrome. Your web browser have nothing to do with your hardware (computer type).
As much as I like Apple they do have some strange things about them.

I went on the Preferences, I went on Security, I saw internet plug ins, and next to it, allow Java, then next to that, Manage Websites which I clicked on, and there was nothing there.
Is that the problem?

What Mac OS are your running?
Adobe flash might be blocked. Was that in your allow list?
Try following this guide to uninstall your Flash Player.
Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html)
Do you mean like Snow Leopard?
Why do I want to uninstall my Flash Player? I thought I wanted the flashe player.
I don't have an "allow" list. When I went into manage websites, there is nothing in there.
