I have found that the best driving range if you like hitting off grass in the villages area is the Sand Trap Driving behind the Walmart on 466!
(you can get there by golf cart too)
Their grass is always thick and good height.

If you're like me I can't stand hitting off mats because they hurt my knee and cause me to not follow through like I should!

Cost for balls? Do they have memberships for range use? Am moving down there late spring and will need to get the swing back after 6 mos. of shoulder rehab (rotator cuff scoped and repaired last Friday).

The Villages' ranges use mats on certain days. I know that Palmer doesn't use the mats on Mondays, and Glenview doesn't use them on Thursdays. If you get a range card and purchase 20 buckets in advance, each bucket ends up costing only $3.50. That's a pretty good deal. You get a larger bucket at the Lady Lake range on Rolling Acres, but the price just went up to $5.00.

The price of a bucket also went up in the villages if you purchase each time you go...
I don't like to worry and wonder whether the range I'm going to is going to be on mats or not its too confusing, and I'm too old to remember what day it is!!!

Cost's are $4 for a small, $6 medium and $8 large. And they are big buckets.
I'm not positive the price of memberships but I think it's $14 for all day and like $120 for the month...
