PM for more info. Emma loves connecting with me through the window while chewing her stinky bones outside. And hurrah! No leash needed for her to go out to toilet.
This area is on the side running between lanai and golf cart garage. Tall plants now hedge the animals and hide the ac and pool eqpt from view, so an improvement for the neigbors! There is a minimally sized, easily removable gate, should anyone complain.
Work designed and done by Ed Thompson Landscaping, 352-895-7074.
Ed is degreed in landscape design, and won over several bidders for expertise, nice guy factor and price. I am not involved with his company, but as always, step up to tell y'all when a service provider is exceptional.

We may be interested in a similar set up for a small dog. Can you tell me if you had to get ARC approval for this? Is there an actual fence there---photo is a little hazy.
Thanks!

I believe this is against fencing rules and has to be approved...

Dog runs are not allowed, per your deed restrictions.

Oh Kitty - wish you had not mentioned that gate - I knew the haters would be on here beating you up. Looks wonderful and I'm sure Emma is loving her new outside area.
And to the haters - a dog run is usually an enclosed are that is about 9x4 enclosed on all sides and the top as well by chain link fence. What Kitty has done is in no way a dog run.

Very ingenious Kitty, I like that. Sounds like Ed Thompson is not only very handy but also clever. I may call him for some work in my villa. I bet Emma is in her glory.

What a great idea! I'm sure Emma is thrilled, although I'm sure she'll argue that her bones are NOT smelly! And I bet your neighbors are eternally grateful to not have to look at pool and AC equipment.

Yes, it was submitted to arc. There is a temp plastic web fence inside the hedge until plants grow flush. As said before, the one neighbor rarely here viewing this is likely to be grateful for plants obscuring the acpool eqpt. As it is much nicer view. Request for more photos will be fulfilled. The one posted was at night.

Oh, dimensions far exceed 9x4! Most area is a nicely varied hedge of plants for 20 feet, from garage back toward lanai, then a 3' removable gate, visible to only one rear side neighbor, then an 8 foot long patio with stacked walls leading to lanai.

The way I see it you have done beautiful landscaping to help your neighbor enjoy their view.

Hopefully you can see the plant hedge of bamboo and bottle brush, reinforced by me with a green mesh fence from Lowes till the hedge grows patent. This runs between lanai and garage, and av and pool eqpt on the left are obscured for neighbors by the plants. This could serve as a win-win for all.

Isn't it ridiculous that dog owners can't do something like this that is permanent? Really -- what harm does it do???
