I have the typical zoyia lawn in the Villages that I would like to cut with an electric lawn mower (with a cord). The Zoyia seems very hardy and I was wondering if an electric lawn mower would be strong enough for this kind of lawn. Does anyone cut their zoyia lawn with an electric lawn mower? Do you have a recommendation of an electric lawn mower to buy?
Thanks

I have battery powered B&D and it cuts mine just fine.

A neighbor used a battery powered mower for the first few years without a problem. However, after awhile the zoysia got too thick and he had to convert to a gas mower. He cuts it twice per week, so it wasn't the length that was an issue.

Make sure the blade is kept sharp!
It's better for the lawn and battery life as well.
