Just caught an article on the box top pair's sentences in the on-line news. If I recall correctly the sex on the square couple received the same time.

Absolutely ridiculous that they were even arrested in the first place.

I drove my golf cart to that spot and there is no way they could have been seen from the road or path. A worker going to do some cleanup work back there saw them and called the sheriff.

True, neither are stellar citizens and probably would end up in the hoosegow real soon for something else - but this was ridiculous!

True for "Sex on the Square," but "Sex on the Box" were just sentenced. Stay tuned for "Sex in a Golf Cart"....bound to happen. I wish they would do it on the county line...one participant in Sumter and one in Marion. Then we could see how two different LEOs and courts handle it.

If you are SO drunk you don't know what you are doing, then somebody should take charge of you. If it were my kids, I KNOW they would choose being arrested over the punishment I would dole out..

With their histories and records I doubt that any lawyer would have gotten them off. Knowing these people, I'm surprised that they didn't get more time. In fact, the woman was arrested a while back and charged with being an accessory to robbery. I never heard what happened to that case.

I'm with you. Why do so many think this is no big deal? If you don't have enough sense to keep things private, what other nutty things might you do? This is ridiculous behavior for adults.

Look at the numbers! They each have to pay a fine of $1,114 and $50 a day for each day in jail. 180 days @ $50 comes out to $9,000. So that is $ 10,114 each or $20,228 total. Talk about a high price for sex!
