There were sailboats on the lake yesterday and they were beautiful. I read about them in the paper this morning. I'm glad the lake will be available for recreational activities, but it's a shame you have to apply 30 days in advance to be allowed on the water.

Sam, I'm so excited. I didn't know they allowed any boats on the lake? That's great!
I was concerned about missing my beautiful Pacific Ocean views with the glorious sailboats in the Riviera inlet (Redondo Beach) but I'll be so happy to sit at the Lighthouse and watch the boats on the lake, anytime! Maybe I'll even take up sailing!
Thanks for the info. Kathie

I was driving over the bridge on Morse Blvd yesterday about 1230 and saw the sailboats...it was indeed a beautiful sight. The article today explained their presence and how the lake can be used for recreation in the future. I'm kinda glad they will be controlling it tightly. I wouldn't want to see a gaggle of all different kinds of boats out there or jet skis, etc. Save that for the more public lakes.
