What's the nearest post office to Springdale in Spanish Springs. We're renting for a few months before we buy. We can't use the landlord's mailing address. I remember reading there are a few post offices. Which one would be the nearest for us? Thanks

There is a post office on 301 north of 466. It is on the left hand side.

I believe you have to use the post office (not nearest to your home) but the one that delivers the mail to your home. That's what all the fuss is about, with people wanting TV post office.
I got a registered letter and just assumed it came from the post office on 301 (about a mile from my home), so I went there, and they told me I had to go to the Lady Lake post office. Thinking I new where that was, I went to the post office across 441 in the pink buildings, although there was 12 a head of me, it went quickly and then I was told I'm still at the wrong post office. It was down closer to Home Depot. So, off I went to my 3rd post office. This time there was 10 in front of me and it took for ever, when I left there was 22 people in line. If we can't have another post office, can we have the people from the 441 office. So make sure you go to the right post office.

My issue is I'm renting in Spanish Springs but plan to buy in Sumter. I need a temporary post office box for a few months at most so I need the closer one to where I'm renting.

you can rent a "mail box" at other places besides the Post Office. There are a few "shipping" stores that also rent boxes. I know there is close to Spanish Springs, a UPS Store Near Spanish Plains (I think that's the name). We rented for three months this winter and I've already forgotten where some of the places are located ... must be several senior moments coming all at once. But look on line at the yellow pages ... good luck and enjoy your stay.

Nanci,
You're not renting in Spanish Springs. The Village of Springdale is a long way from Spanish Springs. Here's a mediocre map of the area with Springdale notes as the A symbol:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=belmont+pl+32162&daddr=post+office+&sll=28.959188,-81.981869&sspn=0.073747,0.167198&ie=UTF8&ll=28.922833,-81.913376&spn=0.295091,0.668793&z=11

You will be much closer to Mulberry Grove than to any of the other shopping areas, but the others aren't that far.

That's my sense of direction for you! I don't know up from down when it comes to getting around.

There's a post office in Oxford pretty close to where you'll be renting. They always have a line but it moves pretty quickly. I'm guessing that would be your post office. 3974 County Road 201, Oxford, FL 34484-2801 Phone: (800) ASK-USPS; Fax: (352) 748-3223

There's a Pack N Ship in Mulberry Grove Shopping Center -- just a few doors down from Crispers. Village Pack N Ship Inc; (352) 750-2777; 3511 Wedgewood Ln, The Villages, FL

So, you could contact either or both of them to see what you can arrrange for your mail. Happy trails!

Thanks for the map Muncie. I don't see any really close to Hadley. I have an ebay business and I mail things six days a week. :edit:

Graciegirl,

There is a post office in Fruitland Park which is down 466a past the Colony Plaza shopping Center. Less than 10 minutes away. There is also a Package store in Colony Plaza, the closest shoping area to Hadley.
