I was recently approached by a rep. of Trugreen concerning my lawn.
I have had trouble getting my lawn to look good.
The gentleman informed me that he could resurrect my lawn and have it looking good - it would take some time but it could be done.
Has anyone had any experience with this company?
I haven't seen them around that much but maybe I just didn't notice.
Thanks for your input.
They approached my mother-in-law a week or so ago, and Thursday, the rep knocked on our door. Told me we had mole crickets among other things. Actually we do, but way in the back and our present lawn care company, one we've had for many years, has already addressed the problem.
I've seen the truck around the community, but have no knowledge of their business or reputation.

I used them while in Springfield, MO for about 6 mos.; sorry a** looking yard I had; fired them and started doing it myself with a lot better results; will need to find a company in TV when we close on our home 11/26.

A rep showed up at my house yesterday telling me my grass should be greener. He didn't seem to be aware of our recent cold weather and its effect on lawns. Have never heard of them. Might be a franchise of a large national organization. I stay away from those.

My neighbors and I have had good luck with Superior.

He showed up at our house a couple weeks ago. Said our lawn had sod webworms. Wonder if they are calling on every homeowner who appears to be home?

I signed up for their service when a nice and knowledgeable rep came by my house and took note of my pitiful yard. The service sounded good, so he signed me up, they sprayed my yard one time and then the constant phone solicitations started! Each call was to try to get me to sign up for yet another of their services for more money. Annoying enough to be hammered with calls (even ringing my cell when I was in Italy and not seeming to care when I told the rep he was costing me $2.95 per minute with his sales pitch) but to beat it all these calls were an obvious scam. How can I be sure of this? Because each time a different rep from Tru Green would call, they would tell me that their yard team just came by and discovered that my bushes and trees around my house were experiencing some kind of bug disease which needed treating before they die...only problem was...I had these bushes and trees COMPLETELY REMOVED after I had signed up for Tru Green service, as I was in the process of having all new landscaping put in! So the first two times they called me, they were telling me that I needed treatment on trees and bushes that were none exisitant in my yard and the third time they called was AFTER NEW trees and bushes had been planted! To beat it all, I would tell each new rep who called that this could not be possible and I realized that they were trying to scam me, but even after I would tell one this, yet another would call me back a few days later with the same line and tactic! After the third call from them, I finally called back the company myself (before they had a chance of spraying my yard a second time) and completely cancelled their service and demanded my money back, which was paid a year in advance.
I have heard there are a lot of companies out their taking advantage of us Villagers, but this is one company that is clearly trying their best to do so by obviously using an aggressive phone solicitation team to spread fear and lies to drum up more business. Had my original trees and bushes been in place at the time of their calls, I could have never proven this.

Paying a year in advance, for anything, is not a good idea.
