In the past, TV allowed prospective buyers to experience only one Lifestyle Preview trip.
I've heard there is now no limit on the number of Lifestyle Previews someone can take before they but a house. Has anyone else heard this? I hope what I heard is correct since we have already visited TV on the Lifestyle Preview and would like to visit again. The value of the Lifestyle Preview promotion is amazing

I am going to take a guess at what you meant by schedule. If you mean "What must you do on a lifestyle preview?" The answer is nothing. The lifestyle preview is not like buying a timeshare. You don't even have to look at houses if you don't want to.

We just completed our 2nd lifestyle in April. 1st was one year ago. The 1st trip, we looked at possible homes for 3 out of the 5 days that we were there. This time...2 hours. Just enough to update us on floor plans. We are definite buyers but not until we sell. Our rep knew and respected that. He now knows what we want and will be able to find it fast when the time is right.

Now what "can" you do on your preview ... anything you want. Take advantage of the included in your price....golf, dinners, tennis, movies, pools, etc. or not. Your choice. We took advantage of most all that was offered and experienced the lifestyle to its fullest. We came away more convince than ever that TV is the place for us.

You are going to be amazed! I had a preconceived idea about the 'life style tour". I had avoided the freebies for time shares and vacation property like the plague. The life style tour at The Villages was the first one we had ever done. The Villages did not call back when we booked. We did get one email from the rep assigned to us and I answered that three times, thinking I would get another.(No) We made an appointment with the rep, she showed up at the center exactly on time. (NO picking you up) She showed us what we wanted to see for two and one half hours without....WITHOUT...any kind of pressuring conversation. NOT " If you lived here" NOTHING! AND Then we did not hear from her. We called when we stumbled across the home we liked. Well, then, still, NO pressure. We had decided to buy and I got cold feet right in the middle of the initial paper signing and no one made me feel uncomfortable. We bought...last week. I still can't believe it. I love the place!

I didn't do the preview - we just stayed at a hotel when we went down, so I can't comment on that. But I can say Gracie's experience with No Pressure was exactly what we felt. I tend to be pretty quick to pull the trigger on deals, and came down expecting to buy unless there was some big stumbling block. There wasn't. Our agent essentially tried to talk me out of buying with questions of "Are you sure? You don't want to wait awhile?" Each house we looked at he sat on the couch with his book and read. Told us "If you have any questions, I'll be here..."
No a single vibe like a timeshare with the "This price is only good for today". It was all up to us.

We are coming down on our 2nd Preview. However, we were told we don't get "wined and dined" or any freebes. Don't know what to expect.

Have others on repeat Preview tours gotten all the goodies like the first one?

Peggy, we did. All the same amenties as the 1st time. If you are a potential buyer and you have a rep, you should let him/her know you are coming. Your rep will probably offer the lifestyle if not, ask for it. We didn't ask, but our rep was called and told that we were coming back and his assistant called and told us we would be getting the lifestyle preview again.

Susan,

Thanks, I'll call her tomorrow.

Another question, have you bought in TV yet? (can't remember)

Wouldn't one preview visit be enough to decide to buy and move to The Villages? :dontknow:
Seems like taking advantage of it in my opinion.

We came down twice last year on the Lifestyle Preview tour with all the trimmings and once more on our own. We were offered a third LS trip but couldn't make our schedule work out. I don't think there is any limit but, there is probably some sort of restriction on when and how often but I'm guessing about that.

We had two Lifestyle Previews before buying. Came down to see if we'd like it, then went home and started getting the house ready to sell because WE LOVED IT! Did the second Lifestyle Preview when we had sold our house and knew we were actually coming to buy. I think it's a great marketing program. Woot Eddie!

The lifestyle preview is a most effective sales tool, offered by one of the most savvy marketeers that I have ever heard of or seen.

The "family" is not just selling homes, they are selling lifestyle and they own just about everything or get a piece of the action on everything that Villagers spend money on. I highly doubt anyone could take advantage of them. The way I figure it their profit on your lifestyle visit is somewhat reduced for the duration of your visit, but their product is so good that they know they will sell to a very high percentage of us and then they will profit off of us for many years to come. They are brilliant in my opinion.

I agree its a brilliant marketing tool, but does anyone really need 3 or 4 previews to decide this is the place they choose to live in?
People can justify anything I guess, just my opinion. :dontknow:

2 for us, last September for fun and this April to buy a home. No pressure from the sales staff. We needed to do the driving ;-) and we almost ran out of time to complete the transaction.

Peggy,
No not yet. Right now only our minds and hearts & souls live there. Our bodies reside in the house that needs to sell.

We are following the same plan. We stopped by for a few hours last April, had a Lifestyle Preview last September, returned home a got home ready to sell. As soon as house sells, we will take another Lifestyle Preview to come down and buy!!! And plan a cruise. The Lifestyle Preview is a great hook and they reel you in with little pressure and effort

Susan,
I'm sorry. Didn't mean to leave you guys out. Absolutely, it would be terrific if you got there when the rest of us did.

Sounds like a good excuse for a bash (like we need one)

We need to all set our clocks and plan a time when all of us are in TV at the same time.

I'm in total agreement.

BTW Peggy is your town near Leipzig, Delaware? There is a restaurant on the water there, I believe it is a river, called Sambo's. I ate there in 1972? The food was so good I still remember everything about the restaurant and the trayfuls of fresh caught crab. Yum.

took us 14 months and three trips because I was sure there had to be something wrong the place , After an exhaustive study , we bought , that was four years ago and now I realize that I just wasted 14 months........

loving it fumar
