Does anyone around here play for decent money???
All I see everyone do around here is beat the ball around and cheat take mulligans etc.
Is there anyone who likes to play for money? Any groups?
Not talking about leagues that play for $2 either. Legitimate cash on championship course....

I would imagine there are a number of championship course players who bet or would like to. Betting was involved almost any time I used to play before moving to The Villages. I considered it a donation. Best Ball, Wolf, and Skins were usually the most popular. And then, of course, a lot of pressing went on.
I rarely bet anymore, as I never really enjoyed the thrill of it as much as my golf buddies did. But I know that they would would continue to bet if they moved here.

Tuesday men's day at the championship courses are played by USGA rules. So, if you were to bet with someone even though he wasn't in your foursome it would be a fair game. However, you must be a priority member.

I'm looking more for open games with better golfers but anyone can play. I have some buddies outside the villages that would come play if there was some decent money involved in the game.
Ideal would be to play a points quota game with skins and closest to pin or something like that.

Seek out the PGA professionals at the Villages and local country clubs. They will at least know the money players in the area.

define "decent money"...enough to supplement an income? are you a hustler? sounds like you might be....hmmmm.
While I don't cheat or take mulligans it's a bold person who claims that's all they see on the courses.

I know a group that plays for $1 a yard. Best ball each hole, total loss not to exceed $3000. So a 375 yard par four is played for $375. And another group that plays for $10 a hole. Right now both groups are full and not looking to add anyone.
What kind of bets are you looking for?

Both of those sound good. Do they play scratch or with handicaps?
