Where is the nearest US post office in TV?

It depends on where you live. Around the 466A area, there are two. One is in Wildwood in the Ace Hardware strip mall on 301, and the other is on 466A over before it intersects with 441.

Then there is one up behind 441 in the Sam's area (?maybe another poster can be more specific).

Of course, if you don't need counter help, you can drop packages and mail off in any of the UPS or other shipping centers. There's in Pinellas Plaza, one in Colony Plaza, one up behind CVS on 466.

Here are addresses for a GPS if you have one in your car:

If you want to have your mail forwarded to another address (while you are back up north or someplace else), <regardless of where you live in The Villages> then you need to go to the US Post Office located at
850 Teague Trail
Lady Lake, FL

The post office over by Sam's is located at
23 Lagrande Blvd
Lady Lake, FL

The post office on 301 is in the Ace Hardware shopping strip (per CFrance comment above)
316 Shopping Center Dr
Wildwood

The USPS website is very user friendly.

Enter your zip & it will tell you where their locations are.

You can do mail holds online at www.usps.gov

Much easier than filling out the yellow cards.

thanks. I was trying to be a little less statistical in case OP is a renter or otherwise new to the area & might know 441 but not 25. but yours is definitely a more accurate direction.

From north end of Buena Vista Blvd (at CR 42) it's about 3.8 miles to Summerfield Post Office on US 301. Usually not much waiting.

Take 42 West and 301 North.

also

"The post office over by Sam's is located at
23 Lagrande Blvd
Lady Lake, FL"

is about a mile northwest of Sam's off of 441/27.

The main Lady Lake Post Office is about a half mile east of Sam's on CR 25.

The both usually have lines during the holidays. If I wanted to go to a Post Office from the Sam's area the main PO is the better choice; it usually has 4 or 5 clerks working while the one off 441/27 usually has 2 or 3 and is a substation of the main.

I believe if you head south on 27/441 and take a left just before Home Depot and follow 25 (??) to the stop light. Take a right by the light. I believe that there are a couple of signs along the way leading to the Post Office.

For years there has been "talk" regarding a US Post Office within The Villages. However, because The US Postal Service has lost Billions the last several years a full-service Post Office within The Villages continues to be a dream instead of a reality.

Expect any of the Offices around The Villages to be very very busy during the Holiday Season.

Less than five miles to the Post Office in Summerfield if you live in the North end.

I think the post office in Weirsdale is closer. Take 42 east and it is right before rt 25.

Per Google Maps:

Buena Vista at CR 42 to Weirsdale PO = 5.3 miles

Buena Vista at CR 42 to Summerfield PO = 3.8 miles

Less traffic to Summerfield PO (No 441/27 intersection)

Much shorter to stay on 441/27 south past Sam's and make a left at the light at Fennell Blvd (by Lady Lake Town Hall) and make a left into the Post Office just before CR 25.

If you miss the left turn before CR 25 just make a left at CR 25 and then a left a block later into the PO.

Is it possible to get a post office box (for forwarding mail) before we get to The Villages? We'll be in the historic side at Lady Lake.
