I just read an enlightening post about the average monthly cost for a Villa.( Without Mortgage.) Would anyone care to share the average cost of a 1500 square foot house with average lot. (new area, I think the ones north of 466 have bigger lots.) I know what management says it costs and that is approximately $950. Do you agree or disagree?

Gracie,

There are a lot of variables, but, I would agree with approx $950. We have an almost 2 yr old 2000 sq ft house with an oversized lot and I estimate that monthly expenses (amenities, utilities, trash, water, insurance, bond, property tax, lawn care, pest control) are about $1,100. 2 people full time.

Full time vs part time makes a diff in utilities; lot size makes a diff in water bill; age makes a diff in amenity fee paid and bond fees; property tax related to value of home; bond paid vs not paid could be $100/month.

I think the that $950 is pretty accurate.
