And Mallory. Unlike last time, it is not just my X1. Even the DTA does not work :rant-rave:
Interesting that Internet still works and in fact I can watch TV online using Comcast.

Called Comcast and recording that they are experiencing technical difficulties and it should be on by 12:15 pm
It was immediately posted to the Comcast web page that it was out. Resume time is earlier now than originally posted.

I even tried to bypass Comcast boxes per this thread and had no luck:

Of course this has to happen when it is too cold for this fair weather golfer to use his tee time.
It is nice I can watch some news live on the computer anyway... If this was to happen during the NE Pats and Packers game Sunday :Screen_of_Death:
Back on a few minutes ago in Sabal Chase.

comcast truly sucks.
I have had Comcast/Xfinity for years in multiple states. I will spend NO TIME defending there customer support for billing/trouble shooting, but for us it is VERY VERY unusual to lose service. I cannot remember the last time prior to this month...
That said, I have had two outages this November. One for X1 only in early November and the brief one this AM for all television. My Internet remained up at all times during these outages.
If outages become the norm as this month, I could see myself agreeing with your position, but for now, I will simply wait and see...

aj.... we also had a couple of long outages this past summer while you were up north. Very unusual for comcast. In our first 7 years here we had fewer outages than we have experienced in the past 6 months.
Like you, if this becomes the norm, other options will be considered.

Yep, back on in BonnyBrook. Was glad to still have internet while it was out.
Didn't bother me. I have rarely not have service from Comcast and the couple times we did, it wasn't for long. We have had them 14 1/2 years.

Phew, so glad to hear Rubicon... I thought I was the only one. Comcast is great, have had no problems and when I do, they are here to fix it immediately. Also, I very rarely lost service. This mornings outage was very short lived so not a problem for me. However, for those that say its expensive, I will agree, but to me its worth it.

We have triple play with Comcast.
This morning we lost TV for less than an hour, but never lost phone or internet.
