Requesting Info on building an IVY

Just purchased a new lot and plan to build an IVY. If any viewers have one with any stretches besides the 3 car garage, I would like to ask some questions about them. Thanks maybe a PM would be best.

Just remember where your building lines are on the lot to make sure what you want will fit.

Our realtor told Mom and I of all of the possible stretches we could do on our lot when we built our Iris in 2012. Because of his suggestions, we added four feet to the lanai and 2 feet to the garage. I now wished I would have listened to his suggestion of adding two feet to our front bedroom!

I assume they are doing the "Design Team Meetings" again since you can once again pick out lots. Be prepared for a few days of whirlwind meetings picking out cabinets, granite, carpet, tile or hardwoods, what type of plumbing fixtures you want, lighting etc. I can't tell you how many houses they took us to so we could actually see them.

I love my house and my choices. But, in hindsight here are a few things I wished I did when our house was built: plumbed the lanai for a summer kitchen and had put in the recessed patio doors. I also included blinds in the Design Team Meeting and wished I just waited a few days and did plantation shutters at that time. (I was rushing it as I was in TV for just a few days and had already rented out my brand new home!)
