I am thinking about getting one
They are a little pricey
Do you use it often
Or has it become a counter ornament

I have had mine 20 years and can't imagine not having it!
Although I don't use it as often as I did, I keep it covered on the counter. So it's functional and looks good too.

I've had my kitchen Aid for over 25 years as well. Love it. I make my own pizza dough in it super easy.

Wish I would have bought mine 25 years ago instead of 5 years ago. I see that they also have a couple of new attachments which look interesting.

If you are a person who makes cakes or cookies I would get one. It is great for either one. There are lots of attachmets you can buy but they can be pricey. Most attachments are available on Ebay for less. The pasta maker attachment is a nice addition as is the ice cream maker attachment. You can make your own pie crust with just the basic mixer as well as your own bread. If you don't cook much it will become an ornament. They last forever though. I've had mine over 20 years.

There is one coming up for sale in the next Blessed & Greatful Estate Sale [Sean & Poppy run a professional sale!]
Pix of items can be found here Upcoming Sales - blessedandgrateful.com (http://www.blessedandgrateful.com/upcoming-sales.html)
and the K.A. mixer is about half way thru the picture display. Mixer looks to have the beater, whisk and dough hook as well as the manual.
I would guess that Sean or Poppy can tell you the price in advance of the sale so you can decide if you want to go. Alert - Be at the sale approx one hour before start time in order to be at the front of the line that is sure to form. I bought one at one of their sales last 'season' and paid less than $100 for it.
I wouldn't be without mine! Besides the cookies, cakes etc - it does a grest job mixing a meatloaf! :)

Me too! I love mine. I have the ice cream, grinder, and pasta attachments. I don't cook a ton, but it is so handy to have when I'm in the mood to cook.

it will be the last mixer you ever have to buy. Ours is 25+ years now.
I don't think one buys one with the intent of using a mixer more because it is a Kitchenaid. What does happen is you will use it more because it is so capable of doing so much more.
If mixers were purchased based on utilization....not many would own one.
Treat yourself and get one.

Mine is 36 years old, got it as a wedding gift. Still works perfectly. I guess mine was worth the money paid in 1978
