We need advice on transportation to the Orlando Airport. I would like to have someone pick us up at our home. We are leaving on 5/15/08.

Gemorc, I'm sure you know that TV has a bus that goes directly to Orlando Airport. When we were there this past winter, we had to fly home for a few days and we used the TV Transportation bus. I believe the cost is $35/person each way. It was convenient, clean, and somewhat comfortable. I'm sure there must be a limo service somewhere in the area but I have no personal experience there. Good luck.

Maybe a friend or neighbor could take you down to the shuttle or The Villages taxi can pick you up and take you down to the shuttle station. It is real convenient - I've used it several times.

I've used Cliff, good guy. If he's busy call Jack 352-638-2419. He's been driving a long time too.

When we returned home last week, we called Village cabs and they took us to Spanish Springd where we took the Villages bus to Orlando. The ride was nice and the service great.

We have used Cliff also and agree he is a great guy and very dependable. For just a few dollars more you can get personalized door to airport service.

Can people call you to be on a list in case you get 4+ to go at any given time?

Go to Enterprize Rental in LSL and rent a car one way and drop off in Orlando. Cost is about $40 including gas.

Cliff was busy when I needed to go. He stated his rate was $85.00 for two people, one way.

We will be using the TV shuttle. Their timing works well for us. We are using the TV Taxi, for a ride to Lake Sumter landing.

l2ridehd: Great advice, once again. Can you post the phone # for Enterprize? I will need to rent a car in July as I will be coming down in a U-haul, turning it in there (somewhere) and then needing a rental car for the rest of the week; will turn car in at airport.
Thanks again for sharing.

You can rent from either Hertz or Enterprise online. Hertz will pick you up and take you back for car rentals. Not sure if Enterprise offers this service. I use Hertz because I get the AAA discount.

Hertz is 352-430-1039.

Enterprise is (352) 751-2417.
