911 Test Call

I have CenturyTel TV and Internet service but not phone service. I was told that I could still plug in a phone for 911 emergency calls.

I plugged a phone in the wall jack and got a dial tone. I called the number from my cell and it rang.

Now I would like to do a 911 test call to verify my location. Has anyone ever done a test 911 call. This process is different for each area of the country and I don't know what they are in The Villages.
