hello buds,
so many options , ranch/villa/manufactured, yada yada yada,
some of the manufactured homes are getting pretty darned old though,
have you , or know anyone, who has actually replaced one with a new one?
sounds a bit messy, replacing the old one, etc etc, but just wondering with all the good stuff I've heard on the historic side

I live on the historic side and know of at least 6 that have been replaced over the last few years. Not sure what the costs were but there certainly seems to be a lot of people doing it.

When you decide that a manufactured home has reached its full life span, do you have the option of replacing it with a new manufactured home, or with a modular or stick-built place? I wonder what kind of flexibility of design is allowed.
Same with a regular designer or ranch. If you have a fire (or tornado or hurricane) and you replace your home, do you have to rebuild from selected models?

I know people who lost their house in the tornado and they had to rebuild the exact same thing.
I think the Historic Side is way more flexible in every aspect.

Most of the replaced manufactured homes that I have seen in the East Side have new manufactured homes in their place. I believe many of the old single wides on nice wooded lots are being replaced with double wides or larger.
