Now how about a Costco??

The back of that area where it meets CR 25 is where Costco
had plans to build BEFORE the US Economy imploded in Oct 2008.

Morse and Sembler have sold their interests in that Shopping area.

That Shopping Center has been sold to a foreign
entity that has plans to convert the investment to a CRE REIT.

Stein Mart is coming to the Lady Lake Crossing shopping plaza.
The store will be part of a new 52,000-square-foot retail development behind McDonalds and Tire Kingdom on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.
Stein Mart will occupy 32,000-square-feet of the development.
A site plan was presented Monday at a special meeting of the Lady Lake Commission.
Stein Mart is an upscale, boutique-style men and women’s department store chain based in Jacksonville. The company operates 260 stores in 29 state with locations primarily in the southeast and Texas. Stein Mart stores carry recent trends in clothing for both men and women. Additionally, home decor, accessories, and shoes are all available at discounted prices.

This info is from the other Villages on-line news.

So we have to wait for the build then the stocking then the hiring then the grand opening. It's a long wait but worth it

That store makes more sense then what I was thinking. I thought it was like a "Toys are Us" that sold Beer Steins. That's not the first time I jumped to the wrong conclusion. The first time I heard of "Kwik e Mart" I got real excited.

And I also guess everyone on here insists on using initials for terms that, for the life of me, I have no idea what they mean (it's not just you, everyone does it....so sad!!)....so, what the hell does SMH mean??

I just wonder who figures out when to build. All I can say is that they will never know how much money they lost by waiting until almost buildout. AND Home Goods too. Just think how we were searching for lamps and pictures and accessories and pretty stuff for our new homes here.

No where in this country was there so many new homes being built and outfitted and the demographers that tell businesses like these that it is time to expand or relocate didn't get their facts right or the point across for sure.

No one understands how big and important this town is and how quickly we grew!!! Well Steinmart...better late than never. Glad you will be here for us now.

SteinMart is kind of like TJ Maxx and HomeGoods and SteinMart has really nice clothes and shoes too. They buy overages from well known manufacturers as well as merchandise they select. They have great buyers and good prices. No I don't work for them either.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanakkuh. I spelled that wrong.

You're not confusing that with Witmark by any chance? There used to be a Witmark in Columbus and Grand Rapids, MI, but it went out of business.

You're not the only one. I'm about as excited as an announcement for a new Subway or Nail & Spa store.
