East of 27/441, just over the golf cart bridge, saw some doggies frolicking in the new fenced area. UGLY chain link, but still a place for them to run. They sure looked like they were having fun! I will take mine there today for a visit!

I heard that there were bags of dog poop hung all around the fence in protest. I don't know how true this is. I haven't seen it yet but I'll see if my dog likes it sometime. She really likes walking on the leash - isn't much of a playful dog or one that likes to run. She is a sniffer and just lolly-gags along.
I'll see if I can find out more about the "so-called" protest - if that's what it was.

OK The gate is locked. I saw 2 bags tied to the fence, geez, why??!! A trash barrel is located about 50 feet from the fenced area. Apparently the reason the park is locked is because it isn't finished. A pavilion is to be built for shade and there are some spaces under the fence that dogs could escape through. They are going to seal under it with concrete. 4 other doggies brought their owners and were also disappointed, but soon they will have a safe place to play!

Ronda,
Thanks so much for the update on the new doggie area. That was fast work on their part. This will be so much closer for me then Doggie Do Run. Its hard to top that doggie park tho there was was so much room for them to run around in. How big would you say this fenced in area is?
In any case, Im glad its there.

It is good sized and divided up the center to seperate the big dogs from the little guys. It is the whole area from the parking lot to the bridge, to the street and back almost to the archery field. My Lila really wanted to play, but will have to wait a wee bit. No pun intended!

I hope people will be responsible and pick up after their dogs - I would hate to see this ruined. I"m sure there will be some who won't bother - watch your step!

I have walked my dogs near the pond by the bridge for 3 1/2 years and everyone I have ever met up with has always picked up after their dogs. I have never seen a mess left behind. Apparently bags will be provided as well as a pavilion for the human guests.

Sounds great. They just opened a dog park in my area in NJ, and I can't wait to see how our dog likes it. She's never been to a dog park. Glad to hear there will be options in TV.

I drove by there today and saw a bag of dog poop tied to the fence. Good grief !!!! What is wrong with people? A nice fenced area is being provided and you can't patiently wait til it's finished? If this is a sign of protest, what are you protesting???? I don't get it. What a low-class act ! Grow up and act responsibly, please.
