June 2008 TOTV Luncheon

Why not contact The Village's VNN and Daily Sun to do a story and/or video clip of the June TOTV meeting? It would be fun to share the TOTV story with other members of The Villages community.

We've sent them pictures of the first two get togethers. The Sun has never posted them. At one time, TalkHost tried to place an ad thanking us for our patience when the site was done. The Sun refused to place the ad and refused to give an explanation.

The guess is that the developer has something against this site. It really is a shame because most of the comments here are so positive about TV.

That's true that the Villages' media seems to want to forget that TOTV even exists. Some of the people at the Doggie Doo Run Run when I mention TOTV do not even seem to know of its existence or play dumb.

Do not know why TOTV is getting such a raw deal from the Villages' media?

It really puzzles me, why they are so against this site...Is there a valid reason?

This site is so informative and such a plus for TV..What are we all missing here? :dontknow:

First off the subject - Donna of all of your avatars this one is my favorite. OK :cop:

When I spoke with a TV Realtor about TOTV and learning what people are thinking he very quickly dismissed the topic and said it is nothing about negative thoughts and ideas.

Here's my though, if the developer and company acknowledged TOTV, it would be like giving credence to TOTv.
Then since everything posted is exactly FACT, someone would sue under misrepresentation.
Imagine someone moving here based soley on the discussions of TOTV.
So denying it exists gives the developer just 1 less thing to defind.

Why not just put a small ad or classified in the Daily Sun re: TOTV and the June luncheon? Also, why not have a notice in the clubs 'meeting section' of the Thursday Recreation Edition distributed in the D. Sun.

I don't understand why the photos can't be published. It is simply Villagers getting together with other Villagers who happen to belong to a website that happens to have a lot of information about the Villages, in addition to other stuff. I can't figure it out. Wish we could get some photos published.
