From the Orlando-Sentinel 2010 - Citrus Parade:

"After the parade, the floats will return to the Orange County Convention Center where the fruit will be removed and donated to the House of Hope and the Bread of Life food banks."

My guess - probably hasn't changed - maybe just the recipient[s].
