We are coming for our lifestyle preview the second week of June and bringing parents. One suffers from Tinnitus and Meniers (thanks Boomer for posting info on the same).
We would like her stay to be as enjoyable as possible. If we could get the names of a few of the quieter restraunts that we could visit, it would really be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

DQ and Bono's are real quiet right now.

Cane Garden seems to be more quite than some of the others...more sound absorption built in with their decorating. We have a family member who also suffers distress from loud noise...we've found Applebees and Chili's not too bad for a late lunch and also Crispers most of the time is okay. We find we do have to go "off campus" more often than not. Village restaurants are too noisy.

I love Glenview BUT for sure do not go there. That goes for Santiago Restaurant too. Noisy but fun for those who can stand the noise.

Cane Garden is wonderful. If it is a nice day (not too hot) sit outside and watch the sunset. Quiet and beautiful. Also, Up The Creek (again outside). My hubby has a cochlear implant, so we do try to find semi-quiet restaurants. These are two of our favorites.

:agree: about the noise level at the country clubs. Too much partying going on, methinks those folks drink a little too much.
Went to Spanish Springs, Ruby Tuesdays for lunch the other day and was surprised at how peaceful it was. We really enjoyed being there. Has the best crabcakes (ordered as an appetizer), add a salad and you're in business. Delicious. .
How about Takis? It's a Greek restaurant up on 441 in strip mall on the north end of Beall's Department Store. The gyros are awesome - and they have a menu that will please anyone who doesn't like them.
Hope that helps... have a great time whatever you do.

Try Perkin's in Spanish Springs after 7 PM. It's not gourmet, but it is usually quiet. You might also consider Lopez Legacy before 5PM or after 7:30PM. Sit outside and stay away from the lounge area until they tell you that your table is ready. You might also try Tierra Del Sol during their early bird dining or, after 7 PM. Again stay away from Bar area.
It's too bad, but most eating establishments in TV are not designed for quiet dining.
I've not been there, but I think Siam Orchid on 27/441 near Albertsons does not draw a large crowd and is reported to have good food and I would assume, subdued noise.

Thanks to all who replied. We leave for Florida on Friday and will arrive at TV on Sunday for 6 days. I think our best bet is to choose restruants with outdoor seating.

Annie,
Im sorry I didnt reply sooner, just thought of it. The Nancy Lopez restaurant is very quiet. Pricey but quiet. We have been there a few times and the food was excellent and we had no problem carrying on a conversation.

The best one I've found is "The Veranda" in the Lake Sumter Landing Sales Center. It's very homey and has indoor or outdoor dining at a very low price, I think it's only open for breakfast & lunch, though. It also has great homemade desserts!!

I dont know where or when was the law written that you have to be entertained 24 hours a day. I find the noise overwhelming everywhere you go whith loud music blasting all the time. I love music, but when I want it.

Have been to Cain Garden twice and didn't stay because it was so noisy. Bad acoustics as the noise of the crowd was deafening.....b
