Guess we could make it the "STATE FLOWER", and then I would be the envy of the block!...Ugh!....short of digging for the dreaded white root, any other solution?:pray:

Water less. I can't vouch for it, but I have heard that wetting the foliage and then sprinkling with baking soda works. There is a herbicide that works and isn't toxic to St. Augustine but it is toxic to everything else and quickly runs off. It is so bad that some Southern cities are now testing their water for Altrazine contamination.

My gut feeling is that pulling it by hand is the only safe solution. Sorry.

Thanks Red and Kitty.... We have a golfer topiary that dollarweed has become "attached to". This is the problem, weeping fig is the topiary cover and now dollarweed wants that space...Ugh! :shrug:
