I have used Braun in the past - at that time one could ship it back to the company for refurbishing.
You may find some info online if you no longer have the manual.

Thanks, but the trimmer mechanism is broken and this old shaver could just use an overall "tune-up", sharpening, etc. I'd like to find a local shaver repair shop to take it to.

Unfortunately nothing local. Closest location is Mass. Call their customer service group at 1. 800 Braun-11 and they may be able to help

I am currently pursuing a repair for my Braun Series 3 shaver. The pop up trimmer has popped off the razor. I have a message in to Braun for where to go. The closest repair center, their list, in FL is in Orlando.
I will update if and when I hear something.
