We have a SMALL yard. My neighbor does too and he has just been quoted $55 a month, mowing, blowing and weeding every ten days. Our Poinciana friends pay $40. Both sound very reasonable.

I pay $45 for mowing and blowing. So far I have done my own weeding but if I add that it will be $53. They cut once a week in the summer and once a month in the winter.

We pay $55 per month for mowing, trimming, and blowing. We are expecting an increase of price soon because of the rise in fuel cost. Kessler Lawn Management has charged us this for 2 1/2 years and have been very happy with the service.

We spend more on grass cutting in TV in a year than we have spent in 30 years in Calif where we can cut our own grass.

$50 for a large corner lot. Same amount since 2004. Maybe because I referred a few neighbors? expect it to increase, also.

$45 for mow and blow. If they advertise weeding they are lying. None of the normal servces do weeding.

I get charged extra for weed abatement about $45 twice a year plus more for cinch bugs a couple times a year. Don't do other bug spraying - probably should but has not been an apparent problem so far.

Grass cutting is $45/month; weeding is by someone else at $10/month.

Grass cutting $50 a month. Weeding is done so far, by me or friends staying. Do it every couple of months.

I imagine it will vary depending on the size of your lot, and whether or not you have it done year round. We pay $45, have a small designer lot, and he mows May thru October. But, he does our neighbor's lot year round, so its pretty convenient for him to just add ours in too for the summer months. We're pretty well mulched, so not much weeding is necessary.

$45, for good size corner lot in Designer 'hood. Seems like a bargain since I pay $50 a week (growing season) in Destin! :)

I just talked to my mowers -- a couple in their 40s -- D & J Baker's Lawn Service, Inc. These people have been incredibly reliable and conscientious. People in my neighborhood have been using them for at least the past three years. They don't do weeding or trimming. Obviously, they would have to give you an estimate but they both agreed no lot would be over $50. They do require annual contracts.
They are willing to take on new clients in Duval, Hadley or generally south of 466 IF they can do at least two houses close together. If you're close to 441 or in the historic section, they're more willing to take just one lot.
If you're interested, pm me and I'll give you their number. If you can't tell, I'd recommend them highly.

I pay $45 and do my own weeding. I'm tired of doing my own triming. Anyone have a person who does triming at a reasonable price?

I find that even with mesh under river rock, weeds spring up around the perimeter and sometimes in dirt that has blown on top of the rock.
How do you deal with the weeds? (Currently I'm having someone use vinegar on our weeds, as a "green" option).

Does PREEN work in Florida??? I use it here, It is so great, but it is a preemergent, I am not sure if it would work with no dormant period.

I spray 'em with roundup that way you know you've got the root.
