Coming down B.V. road on the way home tonight, there was a small brush fire in the
medium. It could have been set accidentally by a flicked cigarette, but the point is,
it is getting dry out there and pine straw catches fire easily. We have lots of pine straw, including around our homes.
Please be careful in our beautiful Villages.

Good Reminder! There should be a fine given to people who flick their cigs outside their cars. Not good, especially in very dry weather. We have major fines for that here in L.A. and sounds like a good idea to remind people of the consequences if they aren't thinking clearly.

Thankfully, a passer-by stopped and put the flames out...the fire dept. was there quickly and finished it off with a water bath here and there to make sure other bushes weren't harbering a potential flair-up.
