Can you find Downton Abbey? If so, I think you would enjoy it. 😃

If you liked Little Steven (E Street Band) in The Sopranos, watch Lillihammer, where he's a wise guy from Brooklyn in witness protection in Norway. We love it, but the language may be offensive to some (and I don't mean Norwegian).

Ditto the recommendations for Doc Martin. We also liked the Netflix original programming - Orange is the New Black, and the Kevin Spacey series House of Cards.

The British series 'Sherlock' starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. There is only 9 shows. Each season contained 3 shows each 90 minutes long, they said it took a month to film each episode. If you saw the FX show last year called Fargo, it featured Martin Freeman, on this show he plays Dr. Watson and Benedict is Sherlock who is the lead in the new movie 'Imitation Game'.
I was a big fan of the first season of the American show 'Elementary' with Jony Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, but after watching this UK version I can no longer get into Elementary. Sherlock is really good.
If you were a fan of the Steve Carell show The Office, they have the first two seasons of the British version of the Office starring Ricky Gervais. You'll also see a younger Martin Freedman since he played the "Jim" character.

I would highly recommend "Sherlock" starring Bendict Cumberbatch. A very good take on the classic character.

Another vote for "Doc Martin" and for "Foyle's War." Doc Martin if you feel like watching something with humor, Foyle for the intrigue. If you really want to get involved, "Winds of War" will take care of that. A friend recommended "Miss Fisher's" mysteries from Australia about a chic young detective. There is just too much to watch!
Don't think that "Downton" is on Netflix streaming.

"Kingdom of Heaven" Movie Info.....
This movie is available on Netflix , etc., etc., etc. however I purchased the "uncut" director's version on amazon.com.
The blue ray movie is over three hours long......but held our interest for the duration......we watched it this afternoon.
I would highly recommend viewing this longer uncut version to fully understand the dynamics between the Muslims vs. Knights; Knights Templar (Christians), etc., etc. in the 12th century.
This movie just opens up more questions in my mind.......
""Ridley Scott directed this epic-scale historical drama inspired by the events of the Crusades of the 12th century.
Balian (Orlando Bloom) is a humble French blacksmith who is searching for a reason to go on after the death of his wife and children.
Balian is approached by Godfrey of Ibelin (Liam Neeson), a fabled knight who has briefly returned home after serving in the East. Godfrey informs Balian that he is his true father, and urges the blacksmith to join him as he and his forces journey to Jerusalem to help defend the holy city.
Balian accepts, and he and Godfrey arrive during the lull between the Second and Third Crusades, in which the city is enjoying a fragile peace.
Both Christian and Muslim forces are temporarily in retreat, thanks to the wisdom of the Christian monarch King Baldwin IV (Edward Norton), his second-in-command Tiberias (Jeremy Irons), and Muslim potentate Saladin (Ghassan Massoud).
Violent agitators on both sides are foolishly eager to end the peace in a bid for greater power, and Saladin bows to pressures from Muslim factions; Godfrey is one of a handful of brave knights who has thrown his allegiance behind Baldwin IV and his community of diversity, and Balian joins him as they use their skills as warriors in a bid to build a lasting peace.
Kingdom of Heaven also stars Eva Green as the princess Sibylla, David Thewlis as Hospitaler the priest, and Brendan Gleeson as Reynald. ""
Rating: R (for strong violence and epic warfare)

Please keep scrolling down for cast & crew plus another critique of movie.
Once again , the "uncut" version of the movie was worth viewing......
The "Director's Cut"........longer, but truly fits the epic scope of this "story"....
