I would ask mr google before I drove all the way to the apple store

Look at the right side of your ipad and make sure you haven't locked out the rotation feature.
Schlepping to the Apple Store is a last resort.
Google your question or go to You Tube to solve a problem.
Much more efficient way to fix most problems.
