We do a lot of shopping on Amazon. Many people are not aware that you can shop on Amazon and give to your favorite charity at no cost to you. Every time I shop, Amazon gives money to my charity of choice.

Thanks, Angie! Just signed up. I already make a monthly donation to Doctors Without Borders so chose another charity. :coolsmiley:

Thanks, Angie. I signed up for Smile last year and then forgot all about it. I order a crap ton of stuff from Amazon -- here's a plug for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. :)

If it gets more people to do it. I would toot the star-Spangled Banner out of my @#%*

I must have missed the part about being humble.
I love the idea that when I use Amazon, a donation is made to my charity.
Fred, don't you that that anything that raises money for charity is a good thing?
Kudos to Angie for starting this thread. :ho:

I am completely baffled in trying to comprehend the reasoning for posting this?!?!?!?

Angie ..... thanks for posting this topic. It is completely painless way to donate to a non profit of your choice.

BTW: if someone's non profit of choice is not a selection option. Please let the non profit know about the program. The application process to be on Amazon Smile's approved list is simple and quick.

Thanks for the reminder. I have been supporting the Red Cross, but now it's time to support some cats and dogs. Anyone... what is the proper name of our local humane society (Sumter County, off of 301) with whom we RDOG members volunteer? It would be great to have the $ go directly to them and not have to come through the channels.

Another free way to donate is to sign up for micosoft bing rewards then anytime you use bing as your search engine you get points which you can redeem for a donation to
boys and girls club,
bing in the classroom which is free surface computers for your school,
or kids in need.
Even if you redeem your points for amazon gift cards if you have signed up for the amazon smile when you redeem them you will get the donation from amazon. If you use the gift card to purchase something for a charity you are working with needs then you are doing double duty.
I average $5 a month and it takes maybe 5 minutes a day to do the required searches.
