just returned from the Lifestyle Visit and bought a patio villa in Hemmingway (Mariel villas)
Close in late June. Will only be down sporadically for a year or so, but I hope to take Mrs JohnN over to Crispers during a TOTV lunch as we can.
This forum has been so helpful. Thanks all

Congrats on your purchase. No question the kool-aid here is highly addictive. Can't wait to meet you guys at Crispers.

JOHN!
Good for you. We went home and for three days I had buyers remorse, we are just not ...the kind to make a decision on something so major, so fast.
Now I am over all of my misgivings and can't wait to come down and put some furniture in and nest for a week or so. Hope to come back in the whole month of November and have kids here for Thanksgiving and then settle down for our first long stint in January, February and March.
I love the location of your new home. Welcome to you both.
From all of us. GracieGirl, Sweetie and Helene and our feline friends.

:welcome: to Hemingway! We haven't closed on our Hemingway house yet, but we know we'll like the area. It is so pretty around there with all the golf courses and it is close to the golf cart paths that go straight to everywhere.

We never even did a Lifestyle visit; we just came, I knew immediately it was right, and it took us a few weeks, two visits, and tons of running around for friends of ours to introduce us to their neighbors and they ended up selling directly to us while terminating their Villages listing. Best of luck to you guys!!!

The only sorry you'll ever be is that you didn't do it sooner !!! We have a ranch in Duval and are building a designer in Hemmingway on Chapman Loop -- Both are quiet, safe and well located areas -- You'll love The Villages --

Welcome! I love my Patio Villa, when I'm home and not running around. It's a great lifestyle choice. They are still building out Hemingway like crazy and moving along with The Havana Country Club. Get to Crispers when you come down.

Must be addicting. i closed today on my Courtyard Villa resale in Bonnybrok Ezell Villas. Part time resident for a year or so. Can't wait to visit next week. Thanks to TOTV for having active postings that reflect the real Villages story.

Donna/Nonie.... That's one of the big differences I've noticed between living in TV and "up north". Up there, you get a nice weather day and rejoice and soak up every moment of it. Down here, they are almost all beautiful weather days so we don't have the same gee whiz that you do. But, on the other hand, we have very few cold, gloomy days. Sunshine and warmth is good for the soul. I'll take this climate hands down!!!

07, :agree: with you completely! Is there any argument when you can feel good 99% of the time?
Living up north keeps you in a manic state, your up one day and down the next and on and on. I verge on insanity most of the time. LOL
