A big part about TV's marketing revolves around the "golf free for life" concept. How avid is the typical TV resident about golf?

While not in TV yet I manage to play 3-4 times per week up here in cold MA. I'd play even more but I do have a job!
I can't imagine that I'd play any less in TV.

Well, When I was in Jersey and in the spring, summer and fall, I played everyday. Monday -Thursday (after work) On Friday I played in a 5:00 scramble. On Saturday and Sunday I play in two regular foursomes. I was single then. I am married and in Tennessee for two years now. So, I only play three times a week. I plan to move up to four times a week when we move to TV.

I play 3 times a week and hit the range a couple of times as well. That's year-round since I live in Florida. I plan is to up that frequency once we are ensconced in TV. :)

Does it matter that there has been a question as to whether whatever it is that I do out there is actually called golf? But I don't care. I'm kinda having fun.

When our girls were in high school and had the summers off from teaching, I golfed five days a week.
Now I golf only now and then but plan to escalate when we are in TV. I expect Sweetie, (whose real name is Henry) will golf everyday the sun shines. I think he will take me with him once or twice a week.
Golf is one of the main reasons we will move to TV.

Haven't tried it yet.
For me, if I'm going to walk a mile or two in the fresh air, I'd like to have my dog with me. My dog doesn't get upset during the walk, doesn't swear at inanimate objects, and is generally more agreeable than most people I know.
Second, I just don't understand this thing called "golf." Usually, the better you get at something, the more of it you can do. However, with golf, the better you get, the less (swinging/hitting the ball) you do. Very strange!

Thank you, SteveZ; I thought that my wife and I might be the only ones who don't golf and are not quite sure we see the point of it.... Then again, my wife and I believe that if we did get out there and play (meaning "try"...), we'd be so bad that they'd pay us at least part of our amenities fee not to come back! '-)

Last March when we were in TV, we golfed every day! Well, we may have missed a day or 2. What a difference from Sybericuse! Last week went like this:
Thursday - 9-hole league after work - rain - finished 5 holes - sat and drank wine.
Friday - 9-hole couples group after work - rain - finished 8 holes - sat and drank wine.
Monday - 18 holes with friends - rain - finished 9 holes - sat and drank wine.
And here it is Thursday again. Sun is shinning. Yea!!!

But Linda, I played 18, sat and drank wine, rode the motorcycle than sat and drank wine, watched a movie as I sat and drank wine, had friends in and sat and drank wine, played another 18 and sat and drank wine. So just how does it connect with golf or is it the rain? ;D My wine cellar is getting lots of use.

Ha! I forgot to mention that my husband's league finished despite the rain on Thursday, he also finished on Friday, and he would have played all 18 on Monday if he didn't have me whining (wine-ing?) in his ear. It must be on the Y chromosome.

I kept hoping for rain today to put me out of my misery. Who invented this :edit: game? There isn't enough wine in the world for days like today.

I hurt my shoulder and had to get a shot and take pills then one month of rehab.
I asked the guy at rehab what causes a shoulder injury like this. He asked me how many times do you play golf? Answer 5 to 6 times a week usually 18 twice a week and 9 the rest of the time.
He asked what else do you do? Answer pickleball 3 times a week, water volleyball twice a week. He laughed and said you guys come here and think you are 18 again and go wild. He said slow down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shoulder is good again playing golf 4 times a week, pickleball twice a week and gave up on the water volley ball as it is very hard on the shoulder. Hope to go back to playing it but will have to wait a while.

Indy - I had to give up volleyball as well (not the water type). Somehow the over the head motion of a spike would hurt it much more than the underhand type swing of a golf swing. I've had no golf issues with the shoulder since i gave up VB.
