I've seen golf carts driving around TV that look like little antique cars and pickup trucks. I've seen the name "Yesteryear" associated with them, I think. Does anyone have any info on these. Are they all form and little function, or are they decent carts? I like the look a lot.

There's a yesteryear store there somewhere, I don't have the link.
As I recall, they are a golf cart, but run $10K plus. Pretty cool though.
Make a note if you find out more... goodluck

OMG, They are the cutest darn things going, everytime I pass one I WANT ONE! Unfortunately, price is definitely the issue. I get tired of hearing, "Why in the hail would you spend 20,000 dollars on a golf cart??" Why? from a female standpoint,"cause their soooo cute"! End of subject. >:(

:)The Yesteryear Kart is built on a Club Car chassis, either gas or electric, can either be a new chassis or refurbished. The new chassis adds to the normal price. The coupe version starts about $10,500.00. The 4 seat truck version is a little higher. The factory is located on US 301. Go North on US 301 past 42 to the caution light at Summerfield. They are located on the left. There is a gray fence with yellow sign and Yesteryear Karts in red.
We have a Yesteryear Kart. If you have been to the Squares, (mostly LSL) you have probably sent us. Ours is a Gray Coupe with a lot of chrome, and other modifications. Our puppies are nearly always with us, (2 Black Poms) which are the Yesteryear Mascots.
As for the Kart, it is a very good product. We have not had any trouble with ours. There is approximately 160 karts in TV. We had one of the first ones, sold it bought the truck version, (a Cadillac crashed it) and now we have another coupe.

Ooooooooooh. I am so jealous. I am a closet snob. I wanna drive around in a Rolls Royce or a Cadillac or some other posh looking golf cart, sparkling would even be better.
If I had my way we would STAND OUT in our choice of golf vehicles, I would even paint polka dots on it or personalize it in some way. But not Sweetie. His choice in cars are like his clothes, button downs, or golf shirts, tasteful and conservative.
Will this destroy our marriage? :dontknow:

YESTERYEAR KARTS has moved from US301 at Summerfield to just West of US 441/27 on Fl 466. They are in the yellow building facing 466 behind the Kangaroo station. Can be seen from US 27/441 at the stop light. There is a ramp that they are parking a display cart on. They have a blue and white sign now. Have added additional carts but the Classic 30's Yesteryear starts about $10,500.

The wife and I went for a test drive in one of their vehicles when they were still on 301. The machine ran and handled well but was verrry uncomfortable. Neither my wife or myself are large people but we found absolutely no room when sitting inside one of these things. You are shoulder to shoulder and elbow to elbow.
We thanked the gentleman and then went to Villages Golf Cart and E-Z Go. Carts are not as "cute" or flashy but are more comfortable than "Yesteryears". Cheaper also.

Check out Street Rods, they have the room and are priced about the same. The Yesterday Carts are just toooooooooooooooooo tiny and cramped.

Be sure to check the prices carefully. We found for the same options that the Street Rods were considerably more than the Yesteryear cars.

Street Rods are almost double the price of Yesteryear Carts. Street Rods are new and Yesteryear Carts are rebuilt.
I asked Yesteryear Carts if they could take my Columbia Par Car and turn it into a Yesteryear Cart. They took my Par Car away on a trailer to analyze it, and when they brought it back, they said it could be turned into a YY Cart. But I'd lose my very comfortable seats and I didn't want to part with them.

Streetrods are new Club Cars, the chasis is strectched 8 inches, thus they are longer with more room. Sold at the Streetrod store near the Southern Trace shopping area.
Yesteryear carts are now on new Yamaha chasis and sold at Colony Plaza

Yesteryear doesn`t sell to the public anymore, they supply and install their bodies on Yamaha frames supplied by the Villages cart stores only, the bodies are new, but the most of the chassies are used. Just paid 11000 for mine. My last Toy, it rides better than the standard golf carts and it is alot quieter. I`m 6`3`` and have no problem with space, but the dash board is a little sparse. I like that I can carry 4 people without it looking like a stardard 4 seater, great for shopping. I checked out `Street Rods` and feel they look better, they stretch out the body, and it give you alot of room, but the gas units started at around 18000..my wife would have killed me..

They are functional and a good cart. The originals (all had doors) were built on Club Car chassis. Approximately a year and half ago, the doors started being an option. Then, The Villages Golf Carts was contracted to be sole seller, which later became the owners of Yesteryear. Cost now starts about $10,400 for the coupe and $11,400 for the truck (or was about 6 months ago). Most, if not all are built on Yamaha chassis now.
I have one, (acutally its the third, 1st was Coupe, 2nd Truck, totaled by a Cadillac, and last another coupe) but one of the originals with the two piece body. It is highly customized and one of a kind. Has been featured in the newspaper and village magazines.
